Welcome from the Senior Warden

As Senior Warden of The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, I want to welcome you to our parish. I hope that you make Epiphany your home.

You will find that we are a dedicated group of committed Christians loyal to the Episcopal Church. When the majority of the members of The Epiphany Church voted to leave the Episcopal Church and align themselves with the Anglican Church of Nigeria over a dispute concerning the ordination of gay bishops, we refused to follow the majority for one very simple reason – we could not accept the beliefs of those who voted to leave and take the property with them. Those of us who refused to leave believe that if God can share His grace with us, who are we to judge and condemn? We believe strongly that we are called to share His grace with others, to be accepting of all people, and to follow the traditions of the Episcopal Church.

I am very proud to say that The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany annually gives ten percent of its income to the Diocese and another ten percent to various outreach programs internationally, nationally, and in the local community. This is our way of putting God’s gifts to work helping others.

For those of you who have visited, you have noticed several things about us. We tend to be an older congregation although we do have children that attend and delight in visits from young infants. We try very hard to sing and take great comfort that God calls on us “to make a joyful noise.” We are very friendly and welcoming. We are a family of Christians committed to sharing God’s grace with all His children.

I hope you will join our family.
